The keyboard switch has a key seat, a key cap and two elements between the seat and cap. At one end of each element is a pivot that engages with the key seat, and at the other end is another pivot that engages with the key cap. Pressing boards are placed in between the two pivots and a pair of laterally opposed recesses are provided in the boards. A shaft on either side engages in the recesses. The two elements are linked in such a way that on depression of the key cap, the pressing board of one element moves down, causing the shaft to move the other element downwards, so that the two elements move steadily downwards together.
