Voltage stabiliser for hard disc drives

The hard disc drive has a supply voltage monitoring and control circuit 10 that has a Schmitt trigger 2 with a pair of non inverting inputs and an inverted input. The load monitoring point 34 is coupled to a non-inverting input 38 and the output is connected to a control stage 28, that has feedback connection to the other non inverting input 36. The controller is coupled to the spindle driver arrangement 30. The circuit operates to stabilise the supply voltage against motor induced variation effects.
