Joining current conductor or cable to soft-iron rail e.g. for electrified railway vehicles

A system for joining a soft-iron rail to a current conductor has steel bolts (17) fastened on the top side of the rail (1) in its installation position and by means of nuts (22) on these bolts, a good electrically conducting plate with conducting washers below it is attached. The oblong plate (19) has its longitudinal axis transverse to the rail's longitudinal axis and at the end facing away from the bar it is joined to a cable shoe of a flexible conductor. At a joint location of two busbars, the plate is fastened near the rail ends and at each side of the rails are fastened fishplates (5).
