Cylinder head for multi-cylinder IC engine

The cylinder head comprises a cast piece with a cooling water chamber (5) which is limited by lateral outer walls (3,4), base and cover, through which inlet and outlet channels are extending. Vertical pipes (11) connected to the base and cover accommodate the cylinder head screws and vertical shafts (9) accommodate spark plugs or injection nozzles. The cylinder head has walls (13-15) running in cross and longitudinal directions, in the cooling water chamber and on the periphery of each combustion chamber (6) of a cylinder between adjacent screw pipes. At least the cross walls (13) extend to the cover and the inlet and outlet channels extend through the longitudinal walls and their walls are formed on them. From the centre of the upper edge of the longitudinal walls, ribs (16,17) extend as far as the cover.
