A carpentry biscuit (10) is provided having an elongated planar body having a substantially double convex shape, a radius "R" of 0.60 inches to 1.00 inch and opposed faces spaced apart a thickness "T" of 0.06 inches to 0.12 inches. The opposed faces (32, 38) of biscuit (10) have a longitudinal axis and a relatively smaller transverse axis, wherein the longitudinal length "L" is not more than 1.00 inch and the width "w" is greater than 0.20 inches. At least one of opposed faces (32, 38) is provided with a longitudinal alignment mark (20) aligned along a longitudinal axis and a traverse alignment mark (22) aligned perpendicular to the longitudinal axis to aid the user in positioning the biscuit (10) in at least one slot (16, 18) formed in a pair of boards (12, 14) to be joined together. The biscuit (10) is formed of a wood laminate or similar material.
