<p>A frame assembly, for surrounding and holding an edge portion of a generally planar member (1), comprises a rigid frame element (13) of uniform cross-section and a seal element (6) also of uniform cross-section. With respect to a surrounding aperture (partially shown at 12) the rigid frame element has an inward channel defined by upper and lower legs (14,15) into which the seal and planar member are received. The seal element engages both sides of the channel between the edge portion of the enclosed planar member and the side walls of the channel. The seal element also has, at a face of the enclosed planar member, a portion (11) adapted for making contact with the surrounding aperture.</p> |
