Method and apparatus for heating of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic materials through a contact warming device

A process for contact heating of fibre reinforced thermoplastic plates (6) involves passing a plate between bands (4,5) through a chamber between two heater plates (5,15). For subsequent easier separation of the heated thermoplastic plate (6) from the hot heater bands, upper (2) and lower (12), flat or filament-like supports run through the chamber between the thermoplastic plate and the bands (4,5). After leaving the heating area the bands (4,5) are separated first from the supports (2,12) which remain in contact with the thermoplastic plate until they are subsequently removed.
