PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and effectively perform the rolling angle control of a multi- face type shield machine by obtaining large rotation moment. SOLUTION: A shield body is excavated at an orthogonal part forward by selecting, expanding and driving a propulsion jack 12 disposed in orthogonal directions RU, LD or RD, LU out of the propulsion jack 12 disposed in the front circumference on the rear part of the shield body. The circumferential faces of left and right shield drums 3b, 3c are pressed on a ground and mountain by utilizing deformation of the shield body produced thereby, and rotation moment A or B centering a shield axis center is produced by the reaction force to perform rolling angle control. |
