PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for separating air bubbles from a fluid, especially from blood, by which contact between blood and air can be prevented, and even after the use for several hours, air can be separated with good reliability. SOLUTION: This device for separating air bubbles from a fluid, especially from blood comprises a cylindrical chamber 1, an inlet connecting part 6 disposed in such a manner as to be directed in the longitudinal direction of the chamber, an outlet connecting part 7 disposed on the downstream side of the inlet connecting part, and a flow guide member having two flow channels curved from the apsis line of the chamber in such a manner as to be substantially tangential to the inner wall of the chamber and extended in the space. An orifice 8 sealed by a hydrophobic film 9 is provided on a cover 2 of the chamber, and a part of the flow channel extended in the direction of being substantially tangential to the inner wall 4 of the chamber is disposed near the cover so that the hydrophobic film is prevented from being exposed to a circular flow of a fluid to form an unnecessary area. |
