PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat transfer donor element comprising a compound having a diazo-substituted group and an electron-attracting group and high in decomposition temperature, a non-diazo electromagnetic ray-absorbing agent, and a heat substance transfer material and high in sensitivity for forming laser- induced thermal images. SOLUTION: This heat transfer donor element comprises (A) a diazo compound having a diazo-substituted group and at least one electron-attracting group adjacent to the diazo-substituted group and having a higher decomposition temperature than 250 deg.C, such as a compound of formula I R<1> is H, a 1-4C aliphatic group, a group of formula II [(p) is 2-1000]; R<2> is H, an organic group; (m) is 2-10}, (B) a non-diazo electromagnetic ray-absorbing agent and (C) a heat substance transfer material. |
