PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the wind-resistant damping effect of a wind-resistant damping device without being affected by snow even when it snows by forming an outer profile line formed by upper and lower end parts of a plurality of platelike members in which a clearance which is opened in the vertical direction from an end part of a bridge beam toward its side is provided in such a manner that it coincides with a shape of fairing. SOLUTION: A wind-resistant damping device 6 is constituted in such a manner that platelike members 7 to 9 arranged in such a manner that a plate width face becomes a vertical face are arranged in parallel with a bridge shaft and clearances a to c which are opened in the vertical direction are formed. Next, the platelike members 7 to 9 are formed in such a manner that their plate width is reduced when approaching their sides, and their outer profile lines become fairing shapes. Then, a bridge beam 1 vibrates, a stream S1 which is peeled away at a tip of fairing is weakened by a stream S2 which passes between the platelike members 7 to 9 for the direction of wind having a relative angleθ, a stream on a road surface 1a becomes a stream in which peeling off is weakened, and the vibration of the bridge beam 1 is weakened to provide the damping effect. Snow is not accumulated when it snows because the clearances a to c are provided, the fairing shape is not changed, and the damping effect is not reduced.
