<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantaneously stop automatic steering at an abnormal time and suppress unusual feeling of manual steering. SOLUTION: A steering controller includes a manual steering mechanism 1 for steering front wheels according to the steering angle of a steering wheel 3, an automatic steering mechanism 15 for automatically steering the front wheels by the driving control of a motor 17 by a control means 13 having inputted traveling environment information, an electromagnetic clutch 27 for continuing/discontinuing the driving force of the motor 17, a solenoid 23 provided in series in the motor driving circuit 19 of the motor 17 and actuated when a current flowing to the motor 17 exceeds a set threshold value and a switch 47 provided in series in the clutch driving circuit 43 of the electromagnetic clutch 27 and turned off by the actuation of the solenoid 23.</p> |
