FIELD: abrasive tool industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates primarily to production of large-diameter abrasive wheels of small thickness. According to method, after preparing abrasive mass in mixers. it is milled in rolls and calendered in intermediate and finishing calenders to produce plate of required thickness. Then, plate is calibrated by two passes through finishing calender at similar clearance between rolls. First pass is made in direction opposite to calendering, and second pass is made in direction of calendering. Circular blanks are punched out in pneumatically operated press, then blanks are vulcanized and machined. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 cl, 2 dwg øøø1
