A plant for treating water in order to purify same is disclosed. The plant comprises at least one first fluidised-bed biological treatment device (1) using at least one first carrier material with a density greater than 1 and having internal recirculation means (2); at least one physico-chemical settling device (3) for treating the water from said fluidised bed (1) by means of flocs ballasted with at least one second ballasting carrier material having a density greater than 1 and including means (4) for injecting at least one flocculating material into said water; and means (5, 13, 14, 25a, 25b) for recycling said first carrier material and said second ballasting carrier material. |
