<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for promoting active leg rehabilitation exercises by providing a foot pedal in a wheelchair. SOLUTION: In a wheelchair bicycle comprising tree wheels, one wheel of the two rear wheels has a large wheel 1 equipped with hand rim, the other wheel is a middle wheel 2 having a diameter lightly lower than the height of the seat surface 4 of a seat having a hand-push handle 5, not only getting on/off is easy but also driving by a foot pedal 6 is easy and traveling is performed by both of arm and leg strength. Especially, the wheelchair bicycle is effective for leg rehabilitation exercises for leg force recovery as it is used for daily exercises. Also, the wheelchair bicycle has two functions as a wheelchair and a bicycle, being used as a wheelchair or a caring bicycle and allowing outdoor traveling.</p> |
