DEPTH STOPPING DEVICE FOR REGENERATION OF PERICARDIAC REVASCULARIZATION BY UTILIZING LASER AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for pericardiac revascularization by utilizing a laser and a device therefor. SOLUTION: A lumen 50 is inserted through the pericardial cavity and is arranged adjacently to the surface 52 of the epicardium of the heart. A laser delivering means 54 is constituted to extend with the far end 56 of a laser delivering means arranged near the far end 58 of the outer lumen as its fore end. When the laser energy is delivered to the surface of the adjacent epicardium, microchannels 62 which extend into the cardial muscle tissues 64 but do not advance into the surface 66 of the endocardium of a chamber 68 are formed on the surface of the epicardium. The part 72 of the previously determined short length at the far end of the lumen may be pushed into the epicardium by a mechanical boring means and the extension of the front end of the lumen by depth stopping into the epicardium by the exact distance is thus made possible.
