PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a fluid pressure in a master cylinder higher than in an ordinary master cylinder provided with a booster when an equal brake operating force is applied. SOLUTION: An intermediate hydraulic cylinder 130 is arranged between a booster 12 and a master cylinder 14, an advancing direction force of an output rod 72 is transmitted to a pressurizing piston via an intermediate piston 126. When fluid pressures are generated in a first hydraulic chamber 142 and a second hydraulic chamber 159, a force is applied to the intermediate piston 126. As both of the advancing force by means of the output rod 72 and the advancing force due to the fluid pressures from the first hydraulic chamber 142 and the second hydraulic chamber 159 are applied, the force transmitted to the pressurizing piston is increased, and as a result, a fluid pressure of the master cylinder can be increased. |
