<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting in which caulking processing is easy, which has sufficient separation strength and is applied to the wire of relatively small size. SOLUTION: The wire terminal fitting E has a shaft part 23 externally fitted to a wire 1. The shaft part 23 is formed of an outer cylinder 25 formed by stainless steel and an inner cylinder 26 formed by copper alloy. The inner cylinder 26 is press-fitted and mounted in a fitting hole 27 provided in the outer cylinder 25. The inner cylinder 26 is formed of soft copper alloy, which reduces force needed for caulking of the shaft part by itself. The soft inner cylinder 26 is bitten into gaps between strands of the surface of the wire 1 and other gaps between element wires, and the contact area of the wire 1 and the inner cylinder is increased. The hard outer cylinder 25 is maintained in a deformed state of the inner cylinder 26 and separation strength is increased as a whole.</p> |
