PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a herbicide composition capable of largely reducing chemical injuries and maintaining a high herbicidal effect by mixing a specific compound effective for algae, duckweeds, etc., with a specified compound having high control effects against barnyard grasses in paddy fields. SOLUTION: This herbicide composition contains the combination of a compound of formula I (quinoclamine) with a compound of formula II. In the herbicide composition, the compound of formula II is added in an amount of approximately 0.001-100 pts.wt. preferably approximately 0.01-10 pts.wt., per pt.wt. of the compound of formula I. The application amount of the composition is preferably approximately 0.1-10kg/ha, more preferably approximately 0.3-5kg/ha, as the active ingredients. The addition of one or more kinds of other herbicides to the herbicide composition enables to widen a herbicidal spectrum and stabilize the herbicidal effect. The herbicidal effect is remarkable in the cases for of not only transplanted paddy rice but also directly sowed paddy rice. |
