The invention concerns a steel wire for producing trivets, grids, grills or the like, in particular for domestic gas cookers. The invention also concerns a method of producing such a wire. According to the invention, a high-quality enamel is to be applied, in particular since the grids are exposed to comparatively high temperatures during use, and sharp-edged transitions are to be avoided. To that end, the steel wire is generally formed as round steel (1) with rounded sections at the wire ends which are free in each case. The radius of the rounding of the wire ends (1a) corresponds approximately to the radius of curvature (D/2) of the steel wire (R) used. |
