PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic solvent suitable for applying to reverse engineering. SOLUTION: This organic solvent for reverse engineering comprises an alcohol extract of Impatience balsamina L. containing naphthoquinone as a main component. The alcohol extract of Impatience balsamina L. is obtained by immersing 2-5 pts.wt. whole grass of Impatience balsamina L. into 10 pts.wt. ethyl alcohol-containing aqueous solution having >=10 degree and separating the residue from the alcohol solution.
