<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tire tread improved in abrasion resistance without detriment to static frictional characteristics and rolling resistance by using an isoprene-butadiene diblock rubber for preparing a tire tread compound. SOLUTION: An outer read of a pneumatic rubber tire is formed from a sulfur-vulcanizable rubber compsn. of which the rubber component comprises about 30-80wt.% isoprene-butadiene diblock rubber and about 20-70wt.% rubber selected from among a high-vinyl-content polybutadiene rubber, a medium-vinyl- content polybutadiene rubber, and a styrene-isoprene-butadiene rubber. The diblock rubber comprises a butadiene block and an isoprene-butadiene block, each blocks having a number average mol.wt. of about 25,000-350,000, and has a glass transition point of from about -100 deg.C to about -70 deg.C and a Mooney viscosity (ML4, 100 deg.C) of about 50-140.</p> |
