PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge and an accurate detector for residual quantity of ink. SOLUTION: A first electrode member 33 comprising a resistor is extended in the decreasing direction of ink from the rear wall face 31b of a cartridge case 31 and a second electrode member 34 is disposed on the downstream side of the first electrode member 33 in the decreasing direction of ink. The first electrode member 33 is coupled with a first contact 36 while the second electrode member 34 is coupled with a second contact 37 and the electric resistance between the first and second electrode members 33, 34 is detected through both contacts 36, 37. |
