PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably hold an ultrasonic probe on an endoscope side, to provide a probe body with a prescribed extra length and to extend this extra length part in such a manner that undue bending, etc., do not act thereon. SOLUTION: A connecting cord 65 is drawn out of the scanning drive unit of the ultrasonic probe 60. This connecting code 65 is attachably and detachably connected to the base end of the probe body by coupling members 66, 67 respectively successively disposed thereto. A clip member 85 is mounted at the outer cylinder to the coupling member 66 which is a female side of both coupling members 66, 67. The clip member 85 crimps the neck part of a universal code 54 extended from the main body operation part 51 of the endoscope 50. The part on the base end side of the probe body 60a is thus fixed to the endoscope 50.
