PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the volatility of Hiba oil sustained releasing to give continuous antibacterial performance to a mask for hygiene even in long time wearing, by enclosing Hiba oil (extracted from white-cedar leaves) with antibacterial effect into cyclodextrin. SOLUTION: This antibacterial mask is constituted by coating antibacterial resin layer(s) 11 with an antibacterial agent consisting of a mixture of Hiba oil and cyclodextrin on one or both side(s) of a substrate material 10 such as woven fabric or nonwoven fabric and setting the coated substrate material on at least one side 12 of a cotton gauze material. Since Hiba oil is enclosed in cyclodextrin causing the volatile composition to be far slowly released than the case when singly using Hiba oil, the antibacterial agent can retain its antibacterial effect for a long time. The antibacterial layer 11 can be coated also by a gravure process using a coating liquid prepared by mixing a resin such as shellac and solvent with the antibacterial agent. Those are highly safe for a human body same as the antibacterial agent and so as to be used by peroral administration and are possible to be used for food packaging materials. |
