The invention concerns a probe and capacitance device for measuring the level of a liquid in a tank (10). This probe (12) is to be fixed in the tank (10) and comprises a measuring capacitor (20) with its foils (22, 26) to be partially immersed in the liquid, the immersed surface of the foils (22, 26) being proportional to the height of the liquid in the tank (10), the measuring capacitor being coupled with a potential difference source (52). The probe also comprises sampling means (54) for limiting the duration of a potential difference between the foils (22, 26) and the measuring capacitor (20). |
