The present invention relates to a device and a method for protection of frozen food products. More particularly, the invention relates to protection of food products against freeze damages in freezers. The device in accordance with the invention comprises a spacer element comprising a first surface intended for contact with a surface of the freezer, and a second surface which is essentially parallel with the first surface and intended to support the food products thereon, the distance between the first and the second surfaces being at least 0.3 cm, and preferably at least 0.5 cm. In addition, the device preferably is collapsible and insulating. |
