<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of flaws on the back surface of a rolled stock at the time of rolling and to eliminate the generation of slip by calculating a forward slip and backward slip by a specific formula while the rolled stock is bitten with a rolling mill and controlling an inlet-side speed command value and outlet-side speed command value. SOLUTION: At the time of determining the forward slip and backward slip as one of variations when the speed command values of edger rolls and the rollers of transporting tables are calculated, the forward slip and backward slip are calculated by the formula I and formula II in odd numbered passes while the rolled stock is bitten with the rolling mill and the inlet-side speed command value and outlet-side speed command value are controlled. In the formulas, VZ is the actual value of the speed of the edger rolls, VM is the actual value of the speed of the rolling mill, DRC is the backward slip, (h) is the outlet-side thickness of the rolled stock determined by calculation, H is the inlet-side thickness of the rolled stock determind by calculation, A is the backward slip determined by calculation of a conventional method and (f) is the forward slip.</p> |
