The tool has a plate (2) to hold it and its lower part is joined to a finger (4,5). This is pushed into the food (9) to guide the tool. On either side of the finger, and centred on it, there is a curved blade (6). The cutting edge (7) of the blade is concave and its centre is on the axis of the finger. Two bevelled surfaces (8) extend from the plate and converge at the cutting edge. The plate is triangular and is reinforced by a central rib (3) that is an extension of the finger.
