The sound producing has a shell (10) defining an opening in which a metal blade (12) is placed. At least one of the edges (16,18,20,22) is fixed to the wall of the shell. The blade can pass quickly from a first stable position (12') to a second, unstable position (12'') and emits a noise when the user exerts a force on the blade and quickly moves from the unstable position to the stable position to emit another sound. - The blade can be domed towards the exterior when it is in the stable position. The metal blade can have a central portion with a domed curvature, which is less than that of the rest of the blade.
