The holder (2) for the tree trunk has two fixedly mounted clamping elements (10) which engage one above each other sideways on the trunk or stem (3). The holder has on the opposite side of the stem a third adjustable clamping element (15) which engages between the two clamping elements on the stem and tensions same. The first two clamping elements can be formed V-shaped towards the stem and can have teeth or zigzag structure. The third clamping element is preferably a displaceable tension hook (15) mounted at the front end of an adjustable rod such as a threaded rod displaceably mounted in a tube.
