Floor cover used in hollow floors of e.g. vehicles and buildings

A new floor cover is used in a hollow floor or ceiling, of e.g. a vehicle or building. Floor (16) and cover body (18) comprise panels of the same material. They are separated by a ring-shaped, constant-width groove (24). In the groove cross section, the short guide limb (26) of a support profile (22) is located. An outward limb (30) of the support profile (22) engages below the hollow floor (16), connected to it, to accept loading. An inwardly-directed limb (72) of the support profile holds under the body of the cover. Also claimed are (i) the corresponding extruded profile for use as a support profile; and (ii) production of a floor cover as above.
