A container, such as a multilayered beverage carton, which includes at least one layer which has no longitudinal seam. The container comprises a first tube formed from a web of material having opposing edges, the opposing edges being joined to form the first tube having an interior surface and an exterior surface, and the layer is located inside the interior surface and formed to have no longitudinal seam. The layer is an extruded or sprayed/cast layer forming a second seamless, tube as a liner for the first tube. The invention also provides a method and apparatus for making the container and comprises extruding or spraying the layer to form the second seamless tube simultaneously with forming the first tube. A range of bungs/end closures for sealing in the ends of the (tubular) container are also disclosed. |
