The ignition circuit comprises a magnetic circuit (10 with a yoke (2) and a rotating pole wheel (3) with a pole shoe (5) assigned to the yoke. On one leg of the yoke is an induction coil acting as a charging coil in a circuit with an ignition condenser and ignition coil in series with an electronic switch in parallel. The control terminal of this switch is triggered by a voltage divider according to the charge of a trigger condenser which is in series with the trigger coil (20) on the other leg of the yoke. Parallel to the trigger condenser in the blocking direction is the Zener diode.
