Disinfectant containing quaternary ammonium salt and amine

Disinfectant composition comprises a quaternary ammonium salt of formula (Me)(R3)N(R1)(R2)<+>X<-> (I) and a primary, secondary or tertiary mono-, oligo- or polyamine with at least one terminal 3-10C hydrocarbon chain and at least one primary NH2 group. The disinfectant remains clear and stable even when diluted with hard water and eradicates Staphylococcus aureus within 15 minutes at a maximum concentration of 10% in the DGHM rubber hose test. X = an anion; R1 = 6-22C alkyl or alkenyl; R2 = 1-15C alkyl or 2-15C alkenyl; R3 = Me, benzyl, 2-phenylethyl or ethoxyl.
