The fixing device secures 2 elements (1,2) together via a locking plug (4) fitted through aligned openings in both elements, with a blind bore (3) into which a locking pin (7) is driven, for outwards expansion of the locking plug, to clamp the elements together. The verification of the fixing security is provided by a rupture point (6a) at the end of the blind bore, through which the end of the locking pin projects when it is fully driven into the locking plug.
