A loading tailboard (10) or similar platform for vehicles has several parallel platform sections (16, 16a to 16c, 18, 28, 28a) joined to each other to form a surface and at least one connecting member (12) mounted on an edge of the platform and provided with recesses or eyes (14) for hinge bolts or similar hinge pins which retain the platform. The loading tailboard has a longitudinal section which tapers away from the connecting member (12). At least one intermediate section (28, 28a) with constant connection height (h, h1) is associated with the platform sections (16, 16a to 16c) whose width (b) tapers away from/towards a connecting height (h, h1). The intermediate section can be connected to at least one of the platform sections (16, 16a, 16b). Each intermediate section (28, 28a) has a ridge wall as upper boom (20), a bottom wall parallel to the ridge wall as lower boom (22) and transverse walls (24, 26) which interconnect the two.
