The rear (32) and side (26,28) walls are integrally moulded onto the casting (10) forming the water tubes (14,16,18). At the tube entries and exits the casting uses respective wall plates to join the tubes together and so form water chambers (40,42) in conjunction with wall strips (36,38) and elements (52) for a sealing cover for the water chambers. Each side wall uses additional wall strips (44,46) to form a channel (48) connecting one of the chambers to an external feed or output connection (50). Wall passages and the holes between the wall strips at the plates and the chamber (30) side walls are under retractable slide control as inserted from the side in a slightly conical slide form. This expands the tube wall thickness slightly towards the centre. The tube fins (20) are designed into the structure of the basic casting. |
