A marker pen (10) consists of a body with a liquid ink reservoir (15) and a capillary transfer stem (11) which carries the ink from the reservoir to the writing tip. The capillary stem extends right to the end (12a) of the pen's body and is fitted with a capillary disc (13) with an outer edge (13a) and a central hole (13b) which enable it to slide with a slight clearance from the inner wall of the body and the outer surface of the stem.
