<p>PURPOSE:To provide a rotary drum controller which gives enough controlling effect and performs accurate tracking. CONSTITUTION:The rotary drum controller has a driving part 4 comprising a coil 42 and a head 5, upper and lower transformers 7, 8 housed in upper and lower drums 3, 2. Also the controller has a driving circuit which drives the driving part above described in the width direction of a tape periodically relating to the rotation period of the rotary drum in a manner that the head locus during reproducing matches with the locus during recording. The driving circuit performs negative resistance driving at least near the mechanical resonance frequency.</p> |
