<p>The telephone includes a loudspeaker (2), an aerial (3) and a screen (4) as well as a keypad (5) and a microprocessor (9). The telephone also includes additional keys (11,12). The casing of the telephone includes apertures (20,21) which face the loudspeaker when the telephone is placed in its housing. The housing is shock resistant. The telephone can work in two different modes, the first being a normal operating mode and the second being a restricted operating mode. In this second mode, full telephone dialling is not possible but the special keys (11,12) which have been pre-programmed may be used to dial specific single numbers. A secret code must be input to restore the telephone to its normal full operating state.</p> |
