PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a subject agent useful for treating diseases exhibiting symptom of accentuation of extracellular matrix production by suppressing collagen synthesis by using an evodiamine derivative having a specific structure as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This agent is obtained by using an extract of a plant containing an evodiamine derivative of formula I (R is a 1-3C alkyl) or an evodiamine derivative of the formula as an active ingredient. An evodiamine derivative of formula II is preferably used as the evodiamine derivative of the formula. The evodiamine is included in crude medicine such as Evodiae fructus. The synthetic suppressant of heat shock protein having 47kD molecular weight is effective against hepatocirrhosis, interstitial lung disease, chronic renal failure, cicatrice or burn cicatrice after operation, keloid, hypertrophic scar, scleroderma, etc. |
