PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface protecting material for a solar cell inhibiting deterioration of an adhesive and preventing pollution of the surface by forming the protecting material with a fluorine resin containing titanium oxide particles. SOLUTION: This surface protecting material is formed by a fluorine resin containing 1-20wt.% of a titanium oxide particle having a particle diameter in a range of 1-1,000nm. The material is prepared by dispersing, e.g. a titanium oxide having 1-1,000μm a particle diameter in an amount of 1-20wt.% based on a PTFE solid weight into a PTFE dispersion, dipping a stainless steel foil in the resultant solution, coating the foil with the solution by pulling out, drying moisture in the coated dispersion, heat-baking the resultant dried dispersion to form a PTFE layer and peeling off the layer from the stainless foil. The surface protecting material for a solar cell has >=80% whole light transmissivity and <=20% ultraviolet light transmissivity for <=350nm, and therefore, deterioration of an adhesive is inhibited, a power generation efficiency of the solar cell is also increased, and pollution of the surface is inhibited by the action of titanium oxide. |
