<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decelerate the sending speed of a cell by multiplexing a dummy cell string and an effective cell string and forcedly changing a traffic pattern. SOLUTION: Transmitted data from a high-order layer is divided into cells at an ATM layer 6 to make the effective cell string 4. These are transmitted at normal transmitting timings. At the time of receiving a cell decelerating request in this state, the dummy cell string 9 is inserted to the ATM layer 6. This dummy cell string 9 is sent to a physical layer 7 in preference to the effective cell string 4. Then in this case, when the string 9 is sent to the layer 7, the layer 7 is registered as a bead cell. Consequently the string 9 is not recognized after sending the cell but recognized simply as a section without information. While the string 9 is sent, the sending of the string 4 is delayed by storing in a buffer, etc. Thereby the string 4 is forcedly pushed into the string 9 to change the traffic pattern.</p> |
