PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rewriting type optical data recording medium capable of being reproduced by a commercial CD reproduction apparatus by employing a recording membrane having the optimum optical characteristics, thermal characteristics and a structure in a phase change type optical recording disk having a multilayered structure. SOLUTION: An optical data recording medium is a rewritable optical data recording medium having a multilayered membrane structure wherein a multilayered lower protective film wherein two or more of transparent lower protective films different in refractive index are laminated a recording membrane, an upper protective membrane and a reflecting film are successively formed on a substrate and the recording film is a GeSbTe alloy formed by a compsn. region surrounded by A(Ge42 Sb8 Te56 ), B(Ge32 Sb18 Te50 ), C(Ge42 Sb8 Te50 ) and D(Ge42 Sb5 Te53 ) in a compsn. drawing having Ge, Sb, Te as apexes as an element compsn. ratio. |
