PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts of air valves in a diaphragm pump, and assure smooth operation by moving the air valve formed in such a constitution that a valve block arranged pistons on both end parts is supported in a valve carriage, along a square passage. SOLUTION: A duplex diaphragm pump is provided with a valve cover fixed by a hook on a center part, and an air valve assembly 34 is arranged in the valve cover. The assembly 34 is provided with a valve carriage 36 provided with a nearly cylindrical end part 36a and a square center hole 36c for holding a movable valve block 38 which is slidably fit in lateral and longitudinal directions, namely being movably fit along a square passage. The valve block 38 is displaced in a lateral direction through a pin by reciprocating motion by air of a pair of diaphragms arranged on both sides of the valve carriage 36, and displaced in a longitudinal direction by air passed ports M1, M2. |
