PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic density adjusting device in an electrophotographic copying machine capable of changing a density table easily, when a proper copy is not obtained by an automatic density adjustment or a user requests a preferable density copy, so as to make the proper copy desired by the user only with the automatic density adjustment, after the change. SOLUTION: Copying is executed with a copying condition set by the automatic density adjustment (steps S1-S3) and the user visually decides whether the density of the obtained copy is proper or not (step S4). When the density of the obtained copy is improper, the copying condition set by the turning on of a density table changing switch is stored (steps S5 and S6). Then, copying with the copying condition set by a manual density adjustment is repeated until the proper density is obtained and the copying condition set whenever copying is executed is stored (steps S7-S11). |
