摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting control method for an electrode plate precursor for a lead-acid battery capable of stably correcting the displacement of the position where a cutting blade is placed even if part of a lug of the electrode plate precursor lacks. SOLUTION: When a continuous sheet-shaped electrode plate precursor 3 to which a lead part 31 is formed at constant intervals is carried, a cutting preset portion 32 is cut with a cutting means 5 to manufacture an electrode plate 3A for a lead-acid battery, the position of the specified lead part 31 and the position of the specified blade 54 of the cutting means 5 are detected with a lead part position detecting means 71 and a blade position detecting means 72, the displacement between the position where the blade 54 of the cutting means 5 is actually placed and a presetting position is obtained from the time difference of the sending period of a lead part position detecting signal and a blade position detecting signal, and correcting operation for varying the operation speed of the cutting means 5 so as to correct the displacement is performed. When the lead part position detecting signal and the blade position detecting signal are not sent within the specified time, the correcting operation is omitted.
