PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grind an article to be machined all over so as to increase work efficiency by positioning a lower disk receiving projected section for receiving a positioning hole located roughly in the center position of a carrier on an eccentric axis slightly shifted from the center axis of a lower disk rotary drive shaft and making the rotational directions of the upper and lower disks opposite to each other. SOLUTION: A receiving projected section 9 of a lower disk 8 for receiving a positioning hole provided roughly in the center position of a carrier plate 10 is positioned on an eccentric axis Q slightly shifted from the center axis P of the rotary drive shaft 6 of the lower disk 8, the center axis P of an upper disk rotary drive shaft 16 is made coincident with the center axis P of the lower disk rotary drive shaft 6 and the lower and upper disks 5 and 18 are respectively rotated by motor driving in directions opposite to each other. By making the center axes P of the rotary drive shafts 6 and 16 coincident with each other and rotating the upper and lower disks 18 and 8 reversibly to each other, the carrier plate 10 is cause to make irregular motion, abrasive grains are moved always changing directions and thus very smooth grinding work is carried out without producing any uneven cutting edges in the abrasive grains. |
