PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obviate an unpleasant feeling in time of clutch engagement as preventing any possible rise in the manufacturing cost of a compressor. SOLUTION: A hydraulic pump part 1 driving a power steering system presses both clutch plates 9 and 10 by dint of hydraulic pressure to be generated, whereby both these clutch plates 9 and 10 are connected to each other. With this constitution, a variation in torque at the time of engagement between both these clutch plates 9 and 10 becomes moderated, and thus any unpleasant feeling in time of the clutch engagement is preventable, while since there is no need to install any exclusive hydraulic pump for engagement of these clutch plates 9 and 10, a rise in the manufacturing cost of a compressor is thus preventable. In addition, when the detected value of a hydraulic sensor 18 has exceeded the specified value, it is so judged that a steering wheel angle has exceeded the specified value, therefore a solenoid valve 17 is closed, so that working pressure - the power steering system requires - is secured. |
